Built for
/ Gigging shallow bay flats and shorelines at night. The requirements are different from a day fishing boat: a stable platform to stand and gig from, a clear deck, lighting and the power to run it, and a hull that will float in the water flounder hold in.

Questions buyers ask
What is the best boat for flounder gigging?+
One that floats in the water flounder hold in, stays steady with people standing on the bow, and carries the lighting and power a night rig needs. That is a hull decision and a rigging decision together, which is why Boat Right builds gigging boats to order rather than off a shelf.
Is flounder gigging legal in Texas?+
Yes, with a valid Texas fishing licence and saltwater endorsement, subject to the bag, size and seasonal rules Texas Parks and Wildlife sets each year. Check the current TPWD Outdoor Annual before you go, because the flounder rules have changed more than once in recent years.
